Parma, who is Stanko Juric: the bond with his grandfather, Italian food and the passion for tattoos

In the great acquisition campaign set up by Parma this summer, a purchase that perhaps has passed more quietly than the others is that of  Stanko Juric , Croatian midfielder taken from Hajduk Spalato . Entering the back door into the Gialloblù world, to the microphones of gianlucadimarzio.com he immediately made it clear his strength starting with a " Hello, how are you?" .

How much Italy in Hajduk

Stanko, since he moved to Emilia-Romagna in June , is studying our language to be able to settle in as quickly as possible and today he is one of Enzo Maresca's immovable owners : he played all the first three games, also scoring his first Italian network against Pordenone. And to think that the former team-mates of Hajduk, including Fossati and  Livaja , had told him that " Italian football was difficult ". The coach was also Italian, Paolo Tramezzani , but apparently he didn't want to listen to them, in a good way .

The first goal dedicated to the grandfather

“ I'm not afraid of new things, I like to throw myself into different experiences ”. A strong mentality that he built from an early age thanks to his grandfather Ivan , who always took him to training since he started playing football: " I had a great relationship with him, he always followed me and he was a great fan of Hajduk. ". Born in 1996 and raised in Dugopolje, at 22 he moved to Ivan's favorite team , with whom he made his debut on 2 August 2018, also scoring his first goal: My grandfather had died shortly before and I had chosen number 24 in his honor because he was born on December 12 and 12 + 12 ago 24. I also scored in the 24th minute and I dedicated the goal to him". Among other things, the assist came from teammate Toma Basic , who, like him, chose to come to Italy this year.

The relationship with Buffon and Italian food

An invisible thread has always linked grandfather and grandson , even when he had to choose which shirt to wear after Dugopolje: " I had three offers in the Croatian league, Rijeka and Osijek , but I chose Split , also famous for having seen the passing of talents such as Kalinic, Perisic, Vlasic and Pasalic . Igor Tudor, who has now gone to Verona , also trained me there , and we talked to Buffon about it because we both know him. Gigi is a top guy, always very open and kind ”.

The cuisine of our country is also at the top according to Stanko: “ I like pasta, I often cook it myself  because it is difficult for us footballers to go out to eat here in Italy and find something healthy. As soon as I arrived in Parma a boy from Lecce made me try the Lecce pasticciotto . Here everything is very good but I cannot let myself go so much ".

The passion for tattoos and childhood idols

On the other hand, there are many tattoos on her body , a real passion: " I started with the dates of my family's birth and I had to stop, but then I got many others, I have some on religion, others on mythology, right now I can't tell you how many I have, the back isn't tattooed yet but I'll do something there too ”.
